Friends,

Eight months ago I announced my candidacy for the 37^th State Senate with a message of lower taxes and limited government. Over the course of the campaign, I met with thousands of voters and talked about the important issues facing our community.

Too often in politics, campaigns focus on empty slogans and negative attacks. From the beginning of this campaign, we focused on the core issues important to the voters of the 37^th District and we provided real solutions to the issues facing Fairfax and Virginia.

While the results were not what we had hoped for, the election was close and I am thankful to the many volunteers that gave their all as well as to the many contributors that funded our campaign. It is because of your dedication that we came as close as we did.

I would like to say a special thank you to my fiancée, Jessica for her dedication and sacrifice to the campaign and to my campaign team for their countless hours of hard work and tireless devotion.

I have called Sen. Marsden and congratulated him on a hard fought victory. I wish him the best of luck as he serves the 37^th District.
